Project CARE

Project CARE was created during the pandemic in an effort to lend a hand to the people that needed it: the homeless community. With an aim to provide better opportunities and access to sanitary supplies, this project allowed members to recognize their privileges and enabled them to grow in their passion to serve their community. The definitive goal was to distribute more supplies including masks and hand sanitizers to improve the community’s ability to stay safe during these critical times. Volunteers and members gathered materials that would be included in each care package and delivered them to homeless shelters where they would be distributed to their respective areas. In total, we were able to donate 100 care packages to the Union Station Homeless Services. The packages served as a tiny act of service to implement the most impactful change. In the future, we hope to make more donations in hopes of assisting the homeless community.
