Buiding Literacy Together

Project Building Literacy Together has the intended purpose to build and install bookcases filled with books and DVDs from our organization's resources in disadvantaged locations. Volunteers visited Watered Garden Life Mission, a center for the disabled located in Orange County, CA, as well as family resource centers scattered throughout Orange County. The students have also recently started a partnership with the Boys and Girls club, and they have been installing bookshelves in many of the Boys and Girls Club in Orange County. Project Build-a-Bookcase also participated in a blue ribbon event hosted at the Minnie Street Family Resource Center in Santa Ana, where we donated a bookcase to be raffled off and donated to a family in need. In the future, Project Build a Bookcase wishes to expand throughout California and even internationally in dreams of spreading literacy to everyone.
