Life of Literacy

Project Life of Literacy is a sub-project with the purpose of creating mobile libraries in order to enhance students' bilingual experiences. The first major project led this project's volunteers to partner with the Diamond Bar High School Korean School. Volunteers gathered books from among themselves, accepted book donations, and visited nearby neighborhoods to ask and collect novels written in the Korean language.  After collecting approximately a thousand books, the students in Life of Literacy created a rent-and-return system for the students attending the Korean-English language school every three weeks. Project Life of Literacy expects to expand its horizons to other centers in the upcoming school year.
